Mission & About AVV
Our Mission:
At AL Vintage Vibes, our mission is to spark joy, curiosity, and empowerment through books. We are dedicated to increasing literacy and access to stories in marginalized communities, believing that every reader deserves the magic of knowledge and imagination.
We curate diverse collections that celebrate every genre—from fantasy to memoirs—and honor culture through our Cultural Collection, spotlighting Latine authors and Mexican heritage. Each box is paired with thoughtfully designed bookish accessories, making reading not just a pastime, but an experience to savor.
At AL Vintage Vibes, we believe every book opens the door to a thousand lives—and we’re here to make that journey both meaningful and magical.

About the Founder:
AL Vintage Vibes was created by Luissa Sanchez, the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, who grew up in a small Alabama town with her nose buried in books. From racing through every Nancy Drew novel in her school library to being transported by Khaled Hosseini’s And the Mountains Echoed, reading has always been her escape, her inspiration, and her joy.
As an adult, Luissa blended her rekindled love for books with her passion for vintage-inspired accessories, creating a space where stories and style come together. Each collection is designed to celebrate culture, spark imagination, and make reading feel like an experience—not just a pastime.
Beyond her bookshop, Luissa is also a certified trainer in Leadership and DEI (Inclusion & Belonging), with a special focus on uplifting Latino leadership. She believes in bridging culture and leadership to help people step into their full potential—values that also shape the heart of AL Vintage Vibes.
Proudly Latina-Muslim-owned and based in the heart of Texas, AL Vintage Vibes is more than a shop—it’s a movement. Every book, accessory, and cultural touchstone is chosen with intention. Or, as Luissa says:
“De mi casa a tu casa” — from my house to yours.
